The Giving Week: JPM Commits to Local Causes

038Spring is in the air, and so is the spirit of giving.

This week we’ll be involved in some great events for great causes, and we hope you’ll join us in supporting them.

First, we’ll be returning to the friendly confines of Narberth for NarbEarth Day on Saturday, where we’ll be serving up our housemade veggie burgers, antibiotic- and hormone-free beef burgers, our housemade and organic iced tea and our always popular Kale Salad. NarbEarth Day consistently brings together intriguing and delicious nearby vendors who are committed to sustainability. It’s a perfect (free) family friendly event with great live music, food and exhibits.

Then on Sunday we’re double-dipping. First we make our second appearance in the Ardmore Library’s 10th annual Ardmore Kitchen Tour, in which attendees get a close-up look at some of Ardmore’s finest home kitchens and enjoy tastes from Ardmore’s finest restaurants between 1-4 p.m. Proceeds benefit the Ardmore Library, which is among the finest around.

For the nightcap, it’s a brand new event spearheaded by one of our talented partners, Sadie Francis of the Cynwyd Station Cafe in Bala Cynwyd. She has put together the inaugural LM Votes for Charity community dinner and fundraiser at St. Asaph’s Church (27 Conshohocken State Rd., Bala Cynwyd). Modeled after Philly Stake, this community event crowd-funded microgrants to local charities to spend on specific projects. Attendees enjoy locally sourced food and drink, then vote for their favorite charities. The top three earn microgrants and will attend the next LM Votes for Charity event to provide updates on their projects.
